These weighted flies are not limited to just fly rodders. Made to be dead drifted through deep runs with an occasional twitch or fished in slow deep pools using stripping / jigging action. This fly is tied using a double zonker strip on a black brass body and sports a hot orange cone head.

Tied on a gold brass body with a gold cone head the weight of this fliy allows it to be fished on a noodle rod as well as a fly rod. Dead drift this fly through deep runs or use it in your favorite deep pool for great results.

I couldn't resist. The Hex is such a great nymph pattern I had to convert it to a tube fly. The biggest advantage is the short stout hook which prevents the fish from throwing a long nymph hook.
